World Computer Exchange

Yesterday I spent the day with the folks from the World Computer Exchange. We tested and packaged up quite a large number of Pentium III and newer computers. These used computers were donated by various organizations in the metro-Boston area and they are being shipped out to people in need throughout the world.

Once a month, the World Computer Exchange and various volunteers get together to test and package the donated hardware. I am already looking forward to next month's meeting.

A couple of months ago I found the World Computer Exchange through Boston Cares, which is a non-profit organization that matches teams of volunteers with area projects. This experience has made me quite happy that I took the time to look into Boston Cares.
